If you’ve made it this far, you’ve survived. Congrats!
My updates are many but I’ll try to keep them short.
In terms of writing, I’ve learned so much from communities such as The Writer’s Co-op, Study Hall, and fellow comedians I’ve had the chance to meet (online) at The Second City.
I even joined a Facebook group to help me get to 100 pitches by the end of the month.
Over the past few weeks, I had the chance to write for Business Insider, The Lily, and I just got a pitch approval for a dream publication.
In terms of personal goals, I’ve decided I won’t worry about things such as pandemic weight gain. I still plan to exercise and eat healthy, but the raging amounts of cortisol in our bloodstream, stress from Omicron, and uncertainty mean that there’s so much more to worry about.
I spent 2020-2021 intensifying my skincare routine, and I now hope to simplify it by a few steps.
A few things I’ve been doing that may help you too:
- Making burrito bowls for dinner and have these items in the fridge, or getting the same burrito ingredients and making nachos out of this using blue corn tortilla chips.
- Snacking on things such as popcorn, carrots and hummus, and fruit with plain yogurt and chia seeds.
- Buying KN-95 masks from Bona Fide Masks
- Trying to stretch every day after recovering from a hip flexor injury
In the meantime, stay safe and healthy.
